Low Calorie Diets
Low Calorie Diets
A low calorie diet is probably one of the most common ways to lose weight today. Many people today keep track of their caloric intake with many different systems. I've seen many weight losing companies promoting this tactic although it doesn't really take a company to show you how to do this. You can learn how to track your calories all your own. Today since everything is going digital many of this calorie counters are electronic based.
A buddy of mine even uses one on his iPhone. So what's a good ball park do you say? Well a low calorie diet should range from around 1200 to 1500 calories a day. That really isn't a lot of calories, but doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't a lot of food. See you can have larger portions of lighter food versus smaller portions of heavy or fatty foods.
If you want to get really crazy you could even go for a super low calorie diet. How low? Aiming somewhere less than 1000 calories a day like around 800 or 900. If you can manage to swing that, you're basically in the clear and will be losing weight in no time flat.
Now no one said that's an easy target to hit but some do. Basically eating scraps is all you'd be doing if you want to get realistic for a second. When it comes to meals you really wouldn't have meals, just poor excuses for meals. There are ways to trick the stomach though. Eating something like a rice cake is a notable hunger trickster. A rice cake is basically all air but the stomach sees it as a big chunk of goodness. The problem is your stomach only sees it being something substantial for so long. Once it realizes it's been tricked it goes right back to growling and howling at you.
So if you're going to do a super low calorie diet, only try to sustain it for so long. Studies have shown that most who keep this type of drastic diet going, only keep it going for so long and at the very least climb back up to a standard low calorie diet having back up to around 1400 calories in a day. Losing weight will come fast with an extremely low calorie count, which is great! But let's be realistic.
You're not going to keep up this pace forever. Making permanent changes to your behaviors and habits with food shouldn't be ignored. In fact, that is the basis of all weight loss principles. Keeping up with everything and incorporating these diet plans into your lifestyle is the key. Just because it's someone's birthday or wedding doesn't mean you have to have a piece of cake right? Boom, there's a lifestyle change.
Give it a shot and see what you think. It's a monthly process and doesn't come automatically overnight. Now here's one final important piece of advice before I wrap here. If you're going to try this type of diet out don't think for a second you can just go out and eat whatever you want just as long you stay within your calorie margin. Usually with highly processed foods with preservatives and lots of fats will run up your calorie count very quick even if it was a very small portion.
These foods tend to leave you with hunger and of course very poor nutritional value. Without proper nutrients and a balanced diet, many negative effects may occur including low energy, increased hunger, headache, drowsiness, stress or mood swings, and of course self esteem. You'll be much happier with yourself when eating high nutrient and fiber foods with low calories. It is even possible to lose weight by eating more food than you were originally. All in all, low calorie diets work but don't forget when eating the difference between the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly.

Why Don't Crash Diets Work?
Why Don't Crash Diets Work?
The attraction of a crash diet is normally because people know of somebody who has lost weight in this way before or there can be some new celebrity diet on the market that appears to work.
Why Don't Crash Diets Work?
The major problem with crash diets is that the weight loss is almost always short-term. If you suddenly switch to a limited diet, your body will respond by holding onto to less water. You will lose weight and be less bloated, or in other words thinner, but you won't really lose any fat. When you finish the diet, the weight will probably go straight back on.
Dependent on the type of diet and how long you keep going with it, you may lose some fat. Having said that, your body usually goes into a starvation mode during crash diets. Your body is under the impression that it will not be fed and it will lower your metabolism and hold onto as much fat as possible. Then, when you return to your normal your food intake, even if it is a healthy eating plan, your body can remain in the starvation mode and you'll start to put on some or all of the weight that you lost.
The Emotional Consequences
There is also the emotional consequences to think about when you break-off from what you think is the best diet that you've ever tried. Whether or not this happens when the diet finishes or in the middle of the diet because of frustration, there is a tendency to start overeating. So unfortunately, many people who try crash diets realize that a month or so later, they are actually more heavy than they were before the diet.
Also, there are actually some important health issues to consider. First, diets that concentrate on losing weight fast are normally very limited in the kinds of foods that you can eat. In some cases whole food groups will be removed from the diet. This is not something you could do in the long run without having problems with deficiencies. It's not good for the body in the short-term either.
A Temporary Solution
On many crash diets you will not be getting the nutrients that the body requires. Obviously you can take supplements, but many supplements depend on ingredients found in whole foods to make them work most successfully. Nutrient deficiencies cause cravings, making it harder to keep to the diet and more possible that you will give in to binge eating. Simultaneously, you may be getting too many nutrients than is healthy and balanced.
In summary, crash diets can only ever be a temporary solution. This could be for a scenario where you need to lose a little weight for a particular event, and you do not mind if you gain it back - and more - afterwards.

Three Keys to Help Get You Motivated in Getting Healthy and Fit
Three Keys to Help Get You Motivated in Getting Healthy and Fit
For years now the fitness industry, government and others have told the public that they need to start working out and eating healthy. They told of the consequences of what would happen if they didn't. What is the result of all of this? We got fatter. We have more fitness facilities, weight loss programs, weight loss foods, diets, fitness equipment, and more than ever before. We got fatter.
The Baby Boomer generation was supposed to be the one that was going to get and stay fit and healthy. They were going to stay young. They got fatter. As a fellow Boomer, it's crazy that my generation (the one that was going to make a difference in society and focus on youthfulness) is now unhealthy, fat and old.
The younger generation is even worse, because they started early on in being unhealthy. So many young people are simply sitting at home and either watching TV, playing computer games or engaged in their smart devices. They are not motivated as I and many others were during our youth. We wanted to play outdoors and had to be dragged back in by our mothers.
Motivation to getting healthy and fit has simply vanished in society today; except for a few that still want it. I'm not blaming those that are not motivated. They may not have a reason why. And this mindset started years before many of them were born.
It was after World War II and into the 1950s when the focus became living a life of leisure. We would have moving sidewalks so that we didn't have to strain ourselves to move. We would have faster food choices, including the TV dinner (and later fast foods).
It was all about the easy life. From the late 1960s all the way to today, our food supply changed as did how we ate. In the 1970s, farmers were subsidized to grow corn products and thus, leading to cheaper sugars (high fructose corn syrup). Life changed and another generation helped fuel this change. Today, we cook less at home and eat out more. We move less and sit more. It is time for a change.
We can take back control of our own lives and those of our children. It is all about motivation. And that motivation starts with the "reason why." Without a "reason why", we simply won't take the necessary steps to get moving into health and fitness. All action starts with how we think and believe.
Here are three keys that will help you "kick-start" your motivation to getting healthy and fit:
Identify your personal "reason why" you want to get healthy and fit. It has to be strong enough emotionally. It may be for your kids. In fact, our children are influenced more by our actions versus what we tell them. Another "reason why" could be health-related, including staving off getting heart disease, diabetes or any other lifestyle-related diseases.
Create a vision board of what being healthy and fit means to you. Steven Covey talked about beginning any goal with "the end in mind" in his book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. A vision board allows you have a visual representation of the outcome of being healthy and fit. It creates more clarity and reality for you.
Whenever you have any thought regarding health and fitness, take immediate action. When you do that, it will help create a neuroconnection and embed into your subconscious that thought. Each time you do it, the connection gets stronger and leads to creating a habit.
Getting healthy and fit is your right. It's about a taking personal responsibility as well. Take the first action of discovering your "reason why" and move forward with the rest. JUST DO IT!
Living an optimal life requires a life that is healthy and fit. Knowing what you need to do in order for that to happen is important. And taking action towards getting healthy and fit is the most important key. Finding the right knowledge and experts in their fields can go a long way to accomplishing that. That's as long as you take action on what you learn.
People who are successful are always action-oriented. They will simply put into the action the right knowledge for them. That includes getting healthy and fit. Once you are there, then will you start to truly live a life that is optimal. For more information and to subscribe to the newsletter, go to http://optimallifeseminars.com

The real problem is that although they know how to diet, they just don't follow the rules that are set for them. Here are some of the things that you should do when you are going on a diet. This will change the way you approach the diet and you will definitely feel the change.

Make sure that there are fruits and vegetables on the plate that you serve to yourself during each meal and cut down on all the fatty foods and junk.
Set a schedule - There are some diets that will have you eating all throughout the day. They say that eating smaller servings more often can sometimes health.
This is not the case for everyone and if it's not working for you then you will need to set a schedule for when you eat and how much you should eat. This will help you to control your diet and you will be able to eat only during the times that you are supposed to and never in between.
How to Diet ?
Read your diet guide properly - Want to know how to diet? Then read the manual or guide that you may have acquired about dieting. Top Ten Reasons Why Diets Don't Work
Top Ten Reasons Why Diets Don't Work
In the past century, dieting has become a fad of kinds. Liquid, Fruit, Atkins, GM - these are names which are synonymous with dieting today.
Estimates say that in the last decade 70% of adult females have tried at least one kind of diet. However, there is no evidence to suggest that these would have worked in the same ratio.
More often than not, diets turn into failures as everybody has a different metabolism rate and it is not compulsory that one diet that showed results for some would do the same for all.
In a paper published by Jim Hill, titled 'Energy Balance and Obesity', he points out that in the U.S. 2/3rds of adults and 1/5th of children are either overweight or obese and the main reason for this is lack of physical activity.
If diets are not coupled with physical activity then it is sure to go down the road of disaster.
Blindly following the latest diet fads is not a good idea, the trick is to figure which combination suits the body. And this is heavily dependent on the metabolism and eating habits.
Why Diets Don't Work?
Here we will attempt to break down the reasons why most diets fail to show results or are effective for only a short period of time.
- Sleeping Habits: An average human body requires at least 8 hours of sound sleep. If you are in a habit of going to bed late or having irregular sleep timings, it can lead to addition of toxic load on the liver, slow down metabolism and increase weight gain.
- Calorie Intake: Most people when dieting tend to avoid calories too much for too long. This can have the most hazardous impact on weight gain as the body reflexes and starts to store fat in order to conserve energy rather than lose fat.
- Protein Intake: Protein is the most important factor which helps in increasing the processing of fat reduction. Eat leafy greens, milk, pulses, white meat and soy to improve this intake.
- Fibre Intake: Fibre is an element which helps in breaking down body fat, reduces weight and also stabilises the insulin levels in the body. Vegetables and fruit are very rich sources of fibre.
- Water Intake: It is said that an average person should take at least 4-5 litres of water each day. Drinking less water slows down the body's metabolism and its ability to burn fat.
- Exercise: If diets are coupled with less than 25 minutes of daily physical activity, it will have almost no effect on your weight loss. The body burns only glucose in the first 25 minutes, and fat burn starts only after the 26th minute.
- Numbers: Don't always believe what the scales shows. The optimal number is BMI index which shows the accurate fat loss percentage.
- Time Management: It is very important to have meals at around the same time each day as it trains the body when it starts to burn fat.

Rating the Fad Diets
Rating the Fad Diets
THE 200 POINT SYSTEM
With so many different diets available, how are we to know
what works and what is safe? The only way to be sure is to
discover the author's background and the research behind
the diet's methodology. Every good diet should give a
background about the author and his/her credentials and
experience in the fields of nutrition and biochemistry.
However, even a vast resume does not mean a credible and
safe diet. But it does suggest, at least, that the author has
some knowledge of nutrition. Providing research behind the
diet proves that the diet is not something the author
invented, so long as the research is not self-serving and
altered to fit a hypothesis.
Some diets may not need a great deal of tests and studies
behind them, simply because they are based on
fundamentals. For example, many women's magazines
have articles on dieting and weight loss, but they are
common sense suggestions that most people concerned
about weight should know already: "Eat smaller meals", "cut
down on sugar and fat", etc., are typical philosophies. More
structured diets should give some scientific reasons for its
suggested success, preferably case studies and research
performed on everyday test subjects, as well as athletes.
Since we have established the importance of eating a
balanced diet in accordance to selecting healthy foods and
obtaining RDA minimums, it is possible now to rate the
diets in accordance to those specific criteria. Begin with a
score of 200 and subtract 10 points from the total for each
statement below in which the diet concedes. An ideal diet
should maintain a score of 200, but a score of 160 or
greater is acceptable.
1. The diet does not include the food groups in adequate
amounts. Some fad diets eliminate one or more of the food
groups. Do not deduct 10 points if a food group's nutrients
(e.g., carbs, proteins, fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals) are
adequately substituted with that of another food group.
2. The diet does not provide at least 45% of its calories from
carbohydrate sources. In order to prevent ketosis, at least
150g of glucose/day is required. That's 33-50% of total
calorie intake on a 1200-calorie diet. Keep in mind that is
the minimum. For highly active individuals, that amount
should increase to 60% at times, i.e., immediately after
exercise.
3. The carbohydrate content exceeds 20% concentrated
sugars. At least 80% of carbohydrate sources should be
complex, and preferably in the form of vegetables, seeds,
and legumes.
4. The protein content exceeds 30%. A very high protein
intake is unnecessary, it places additional strain on the
urinary system, and it is a poor source of energy. Thirty
percent is more than adequate, even for growing children
and teenagers. The only group that requires higher protein
intake are those who recently suffered a severe injury (e.g.,
leg amputation), infection, or surgery. However, these
individuals will be under the care of a physician with a
special high protein diet.
5. Protein content accounts for 15% or less of total calories.
Although unnecessary in large amounts, protein still has
many vital functions, including tissue repair and the
formation of enzymes.
6. Fats exceed 30% of total intake. Besides increasing the
risk of cardiovascular disease, high fat diets have not been
demonstrated to decrease weight better than other methods
of 'proper' eating.
7. Total fat consumption is less than 15% of total calories.
Fat in moderate amounts is essential for a healthy diet, and
such a diet provides taste to many foods. Fat intake below
15% for long periods, for most individuals, is unrealistic.
Fat intake that is too low can also be detrimental to children
and teenagers who require ample kcalories for continued
growth.
8. Total fat consumption is less than 25% essential fatty
acids, and saturated fat is more than 30% of total fat
consumption. Deduct 10 for each.
9. The diet does not suggest common foods, meaning
foods you should be able to obtain at any grocery store or
market.
10. The foods for the diet are expensive or monotonous.
Some diets require the purchase of 'their' foods or
expensive 'organic' foods only obtained through health food
stores. Some foods taste so bad they are difficult to
tolerate repeatedly (e.g., seaweed). Deduct 10 for each.
11. The diet consists of an inflexible meal plan. The diet
does not allow for substitutions or deviations, requiring a
person to live under 'house arrest' with the same food
selections every day.
12. The diet provides less than 1200 kcalories per day.
Less than that and the body's basic functions may not be
getting the energy, vitamins and minerals needed to work
properly, and the dieter almost is certain to feel hungry all
the time. Diets below 1200 kcalories should be reserved for
those under the supervision of a dietitian or licensed
physician.
13. The diet requires the use of supplements. If the diet
provides adequate energy and it is well balanced,
supplements are unnecessary. 'Fat accelerators,' such as
ephedrine, may increase the rate of weight loss, but the diet
should be able to stand on its own merit. Some diet clinics
promote a vast array of herbal preparations and fat
accelerators, and this is where these clinics make their
money - not in their knowledge and ability as nutritionists.
14. The diet does not recommend a realistic weight goal.
Diets should not be promoting the body of a Greek god or a
supermodel. They should not be suggesting that a person
lose 100 pounds (even if 100 pounds overweight). Nor
should diets recommend weight loss below an ideal
weight.
15. The diet recommends or promotes more than 1-2
lbs/week weight loss. Do not expect to lose more than 1-2
pounds of fat a week - it is physically impossible unless
chronically obese, at which point 3 pounds may be
possible. If more than two pounds is lost per week, the
body change is due to a loss of water and/or muscle tissue.
Gimmicks that promise 10 pounds in 2 weeks are either
simply not true or else something other than fat is being
lost. Also keep in mind that the more fat a person wishes to
lose, and the less a person has, the more difficult and
slower it will be to lose additional fat.
16. The diet does not include an evaluation of food habits.
Dieting should be a slow process by which a person
changes normal eating habits. It should not include looking
for quick fixes and quick plans promising short cuts and
extreme changes - a person would never stay with these
programs and such diets do not work long-term. The
number of kcalories eaten, and the food selections and their
amounts, should be reevaluated on a regular basis...
perhaps once every 1-2 months to determine the program's
effectiveness.
17. Regular exercise is not recommended as part of the
plan for proper weight loss. Weight loss occurs twice as
fast with exercise, and without exercise there is a greater
tendency to lose lean muscle tissue as well as fat. This is
not ideal.
OVERVIEW OF VARIOUS DIETS
Low Carbohydrate Diets: Ketosis occurs, and this presents
the same problems as fasting. Once glycogen stores are
spent (which happens quickly with athletes and those who
exercise regularly), glucose must be made from protein
sources, and there is greater wear on the kidneys as a
result. Even on a high protein diet, some protein will be
taken from body tissues in order to produce enough energy
for the nervous system and regular activity. The onset of
ketosis is an indication that this process has begun and it is
not a positive aspect, regardless of what pro-high-fat
authorities indicate.
Great weight loss on a low-carb diet is evident because of
the fact that carbs hold water in the muscles at a ratio of 1:3.
As carb intake decreases then so, too, does water retention.
Much water flushes as a result of lack of glycogen to hold
water molecules. Moreover, by increasing protein intake,
excess nitrogen flushes with even more water since the
kidneys use water to dilute the concentration of nitrogen.
Once leaving a low-carb diet and the muscles refill with
glycogen, fluid concentrations increase and the dieter
regains some of the weight.
Low calorie diets of 400-600 kcalories that consist primarily
of protein have the same problems as fasting and
low-carbohydrate diets: proteins are used for energy and
weight loss comes largely from water. Low-cal diets must
be supervised properly by a medical professional and only
as a last resort for those who cannot seem to lose weight by
other methods. However, even those individuals tend to
regain most of their weight back once they return to a
balanced diet.
Beverly Hills Diet - a diet consisting of grapefruit, eggs, rice,
and kelp; it is deficient in minerals and vitamins.
Cambridge Diet - a very low kcalorie (300-600 kcal/day);
protein/carb mixture with mineral imbalances; the dieter is
close to fasting.
Complete Scarsdale Diet - this diet is unbalanced
nutritionally; some days are calorically restricted; the dieter
alters portions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat; the diet
consists of low carbs (20-50 g/day), and high fat and
protein; the diet has a high meat (saturated fat and
cholesterol) content.
Dr. Atkin's Diet Revolution - this diet is unbalanced
nutritionally; some days are calorically restricted; the dieter
alters portions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat; carbs are
very low (20-50 g/day), whereas fat and protein are high;
there is high meat (saturated fat and cholesterol)
consumption.
Dr. Linn's Last Chance Diet - this diet has a very low
kcalorie intake (300-600 kcal/day); it consists of a
protein/carb mixture with a mineral imbalance; the dieter is
close to fasting.
Dr. Reuben's The Save Your Life Diet - this is a calorically
dilute diet consisting of high fiber (30-35g/day); the diet is
low in fat and animal products; there is poor absorption of
minerals because of too much high fiber.
"Fake" Mayo Diet - this diet consists of grapefruits, eggs,
rice, and kelp; it is deficient in minerals and vitamins.
F-Plan Diet - this is a calorically dilute diet consisting of
high fiber (30-35g/day); it is low in fat and animal products;
there is poor absorption of minerals because of too much
fiber.

lbs/day; there are various plans of 800, 1000, and 1200
kcal/day composed of 25% protein, 30% fat (mostly
polyunsaturates), and 45% carbohydrate; the diets includes
the four food groups.
Medifast Diet - this diet is balanced nutritionally, but
provides only 900 kcal/day; use of liquid formulas makes
this diet monotonous and expensive.
Nutrimed Diet/Medifast Diet - this is a nutritionally balanced
diet, but it supplies only 900 kcal/day; the use of liquid
formulas makes this diet monotonous and expensive.
Optifast Diet - this diet is nutritionally balanced, but
supplies only 900 kcal/day; use of liquid formulas makes
this diet monotonous and expensive.
Pritikin Permanent Weight-Loss Diet - this is a nutritionally
unbalanced diet; some days are calorically restricted; the
dieter alters portions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat; the
diet consists of high protein (100 g/day); unless the foods
properly chosen, it may be low in vitamin B12.
Prudent Diet - this is a balanced, low kcalorie (2400
kcal/day) diet for men; it is low in cholesterol and saturated
fats; a maximum of 20-35% calories are derived from fat
with an emphasis on protein, carbohydrates, and salt; there
is ample consumption of fish and shellfish, and saturated
fats are substituted with polyunsaturated fats.
Quick Weight Loss Diet - this diet is unbalanced
nutritionally; some days are calorically restricted; the dieter
alters portions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat, although
there is low carbs (20-50 g/day), and high fat and protein;
there is high meat consumption (saturated fat and
cholesterol) with this diet.
San Francisco Diet - this diet begins at 500 kcal/day,
consisting of two meals per day of one fruit, one vegetable,
one slice of bread, and two meat exchanges; the second
week limits carbohydrates, with most food coming from the
meat group and with some eggs and cheese, and a few
vegetables; week three includes fruit; in week four there is
an increase in vegetables; week five the dieter add
fat-containing foods (e.g., nuts, avocados); week six
includes milk; week seven includes pastas and bread,
where the diet is maintained at about 1300 kcal/day; this
diet avoids the issue of saturated fats and cholesterol.
Slendernow Diet - this diet is unbalanced nutritionally;
some days are calorically restricted; the dieter alters
portions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat; the protein is
generally high (100 g/day); unless foods are properly
chosen, there may be a deficiency in vitamin B12.
Weight-Watchers Diet - this diet is balanced nutritionally, at
about 1000-1200 kcal; use of high nutrient-dense foods are
consumed; economic and palatable food makes it one of
the most successful diets with no real health risks.
Wine Diet - this diet is about 1200 kcal/day, containing 28
menus together with a glass of dry table wine at dinner;
besides the medicinal components of wine, it is believed
that individuals reduce portion sizes when wine is
consumed with a meal; the diet is low in cholesterol and
saturated fats; there is a focus on fish, poultry, and veal with
moderate amounts of red meat.
Yogurt Diet - this diet consists of two versions, being
900-1000 kcal/day, and 1200-1500 kcal/day; plain low-fat
yogurt is the main dairy dish, consumed at breakfast, lunch,
and as a bedtime snack; the diet is high in protein, and it is
low in cholesterol, saturated fat, and refined carbohydrates.

Weight Loss Programs - Which Diet is Best
Weight Loss Programs - Which Diet is Best
We are lucky to live in an age when information is readily available to help us find a solution to almost any problem that we may be facing. Healthy weight loss is a perfect example of this. There are many weight loss programs that will suit almost any type of person and their lifestyle.
An important thing to consider when choosing the right program is to find one that educates you long term on how to lose weight and keep it off for good. Below are some of the most popular weight loss programs on the market today:
The Diabetes Diet
The Diabetes diet is not so much a diet as an education on what foods are healthy and what foods cause the diabetic to have an increase in glucose in the blood. Each person differs in the way that their body and metabolism burns up glucose, so the diabetic diet differs among those who use it. The Diabetic diet is less like a diet and more like a healthy weight loss program that can be used by anyone who wants to benefit from a healthier lifestyle.
The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is known as one of the most popular, healthy weight loss diets of our time. A cardiologist named Dr Arthur Agatston, at a hospital in South Beach, created this diet. He originally developed the diet for patients who were overweight and had heart problems. Dr Agatston has been quoted as saying that the South Beach Diet is not a low carb eating plan or a low fat eating plan, but you can be assured that it is both healthy and really works.
NutriSystem Nourish Program
The Nutri System Nourish Program works by controlling the foods that you eat, as well as your portions. There are a few good things about this diet. The first is that the food is already prepared and shipped right to your front door - healthy weight loss without the dishes, much like Jenny Craig. The other benefit of the NutriSystem Nourish Program is that it is very affordable, even if you are not a Hollywood star.
The Zone Diet
Barry Sears PhD created the Zone Diet and according to recent studies, it has been found to be the most successful diet from among such diets as the Atkins diet and other high carb, low fat diets. The diet itself is said to be quite tricky to understand and works on a formula of 40% carbs and 30% of both protein and fats, for every meal. If you can understand the Zone diet, you will have a great success rate from being on it.
The Atkins Diet
The Atkins Diet has been around since the 70s when Dr. Robert Atkins wrote the book, The New Diet Revolution. This diet became very popular a few years ago, but that popularity is beginning to dwindle. The Atkins Diet works on the principal that you are allowed to eat proteins and fat, but must avoid eating carbs in your eating plan.
This particular way of eating has created a lot of controversy and the results have been mixed. It is said that the Atkins Diet is not for everyone, but research suggests that many people have achieved short-term weight loss from this diet.
Negative Calorie Diet Plan
This program is said to be a fad diet that is a thinly disguised low calorie diet. The Negative Calorie Diet works by eating foods that take more calories to digest than what they contain. There have been mixed results with the Negative Calorie Diet Plan, but, as a rule, many people have had a short-term weight loss solution on this diet.
The Three-Day Diet
The three-day diet claims that those using it will lose up to 10 pounds in 3 days by sticking to the meal plan for the three days. It is based on a very low calorie-eating plan. A low calorie plan can be of little use for shedding pounds if used over a longer period than three days because, after this time, your body will begin a starvation mode and slow down your metabolism. Because the diet is based on a low calorie-eating plan, you may also feel drained of energy and hungry. This may cause many people to stop using this eating plan.
Be careful in changing your eating habits - healthy weight loss is more important than losing pounds as fast as you can. There are many other weight loss programs that can help you lose weight, however it is always best to check with your doctor first before changing how you eat or taking any diet pills.

Weight Loss Diet - 6 Powerful Weight Loss Diet Tips
Weight Loss Diet - 6 Powerful Weight Loss Diet Tips
Everyone knows that most people would like to lose weight, but most don't seem to know the best way to lose weight. To start seeing differences, you have to make some changes in your habit and lifestyle.
Let me share a few very vital weight loss statistics Before I start:
- 64 percent of people in the United States are overweight - Obesity is responsible for 325,000 deaths every year. Alright as you can see Weight Management is a huge Problem in the United States, So we are constantly searching for that miracle drug to help us with weight loss diet.
You may not want to hear, it but it's true - there is no magic spell when it comes to losing weight. However, there are some things that you can do in order to lose fat as quickly as possible.
Here are Six great weight loss tips:
If you favour the traditional route of diet and exercise, then the following tips given below should work greatly to help with weight lose diet:-
1. Eliminate Eating Junk Food.
Most of your efforts to reduce your weight will be unsuccessful of you are unable resist eating junk and processed foods. These primarily consist of fast foods and snack foods such as burgers, pizza, fries, potato chips etc. All of these foods offer very poor nutritional value and it consequently makes no sense at all to carry on eating them. Keep in mind - you will not be able to physically improve on an insufficient diet. You must look carefully at the contents of your cupboard, fridge and freezer and make certain that you switch all sugary and greasy foods with nourishing, healthy alternatives.
2. Drink a Lot of Water- Although you may have heard it over and over again, it is really true. Drinking water not only replenishes your system but also promotes weight loss. How is that possible? Well, as we all know, water is a fluid that directly passes your colon, so drinking water can flush away those toxins and unwanted fats. Drink at least 8 glasses a day for best results.
Water is essential to life and a healthy body. Dehydration will wreak havoc on you and your fitness goals. If you are dehydrated your body cannot function at its optimal level. For example, your muscles will loose strength, you won't burn fat as quickly, and you'll feel tired and fatigued.
3. Reduce the Size of Your Portions-
You should eat five or six small portions each day at regular intervals of about 4 - 5 hours. This will aid appetite suppression and boost your rate of metabolism, causing you to burn additional fat without the need for too much physical effort.
4. Lower Your Calorie Consumption Without Deprivation. Do this by steadily reducing the amount of calories that you get through by a small quantity each day. This will tot up very quickly, but be aware that you will not start to lose weight until you reach the point at which you are expending a more calories than you eat each day. This incremental approach will help to cut down snacking and binging, which would clearly put you straight back where you began.
5. You Want to Start Exercising Regularly-
This doesn't need to be anything excessive, but simply put: working out is almost certainly the most effective way to lose weight and enhance your general heath. Diets by themselves may assist you with losing some weight, but they are not able to improve your stamina, physical fitness, flexibility, mental state and help you achieve numerous other benefits in the way that regular exercise can.
Additionally, exercise is another technique to increase your metabolism, which, once more, helps you to burn off additional fat in less time.
6. Sleep Well- Practice a Good Night Sleep
Sleeping is a favorite quick weight loss tip since it is one of the most effortless. Do not understand the power of having enough sleep. It is vital to your overall weight loss plan. Medical research has proven that sleep deprivation would induce hunger, and improve appetite. This often results in excessive eating. Likewise, having sufficient sleep of at least 8 hours helps to bring a balance to the leptin level and aids weight loss.
There you have the Building block to A Permanent Weight Loss.
